Unfortunately, I hear from within Kremlin Kernow that (the unelected) Matthew Brown, who acts as mouthpiece for Western Section Planning Officer Nicola Stinson, has said that the housing programme will go ahead. Looks like another fight coming up.

CAMBORNE TOWN COUNCIL'S HERITAGE SUBCOMMITTEE HAS BEEN WORKING HARD FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS TO TRY AND SAVE THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS FOR THE TOWN.
THIS ICONIC BUILDING IS ALL THAT REMAINS TO DEPICT THE IMPORTANT ROLE PLAYED BY HOLMAN BROTHERS IN THE INDUSTRIAL HISTORY OF THE TOWN.
THE COMMITTEE HAS BEEN WORKING WITH THE NEW OWNERS, COASTLINE HOUSING, [ A CHARITY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Laughing ] ON WAYS TO ENSURE THIS BUILDING IS RETAINED. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN THREE MONTHS TO FIND 100,000 REQUIRED TO PURCHASE.

What's the rush ? Change of colours at the helm, but the corruption continues...

 Random Information.
For many Cornish people and Cornwall, the Duchy, as shown by the Officers of the Duchy of Cornwall in 1855 in its dispute with the Crown over the ownership of the Cornish Foreshore, has quite a different significance, based on the original Acts and Charters of its creation. Cornwall itself in this framework is described, de jure, as a Duchy (as opposed to an ordinary county), and the Duchy estates are distinguished from the Duchy itself, having themselves been annexed and united to "the aforesaid Duchy". The Duke of Cornwall may even be described as Cornwall's head of state.
