Worryingly convincing. Laughing

I'm just glad that I know what an "Emmet" is. And that "luvver" doesn't necessarily mean that someone wants to shag you.

Oh, and liked the "chough" bit. Laughing

I've been to Porthemmet too. I was very impressed by the Cornish mixed wrestling that I watched in the sand dunes. Is Cornish wrestling traditionally done by moonlight?

So you're on holiday in the greatest county in the UK?

Make sure you visit the best beach in Cornwall, Porthemmet!

If you're Cornish and you meet a tourist, tell them to go to Porthemmet Beach. It's got everthing! If the tourists are young then it has loads of great pubs and topless beach babes, if they are old then it's an unspoilt paradise...

Where is Porthemmet? North. No matter where you are, give them directions that involve them going further north. When they can't find it, they will ask someone else, so if enough Cornish people know about it...

 Random Information.
1549 - War between Cornish and English... The 5th, the final engagment came, the rebels (Cornish) were outmanoevred and surrounded, and great was the slaughter and cruel was the fight, and such was the valour and stoutness of these men that the Lord Grey reported himself that he never in all the wars that he had been did he know the like. The Devonshire men went north up the valley of the Exe, where they were overtaken and cut to pieces by Sir Gawen Carew, who left the corpses of their leaders, hanging on gibbets from Dunster to Bath.
